The consortium of this project believes that the use of non-formal education (dance-related activities in this case) can make a great improvement of the educators competences, of activities related to individuals needs and finally can produce good results in the field of the social inclusion work.

The project objectives cover:

  • To increase the quality of adult education organisation
  • To develop the wellbeing, self-awareness, self-esteem and mind-body integrity of people with fewer opportunities
  • To successfully use innovative formal, non-formal and educational methodology.

The result of the project is an increased professionalisation among adult educators and a better quality of the adult education in general. All project partners have conducted dance activities with their target groups and have trained other adult educators in the project methodology.

The project is targeted at transnational and intersectoral cooperation to develop, test and implement innovative methods of working with adults through dance. These innovative methods aim to generate a proposal that integrates the arts and education into a single element of social strengthening that promotes a better quality of life for people with fewer opportunities (refugees and migrants, people with psychological disorders, people with physical disabilities, elderly people, etc), favoring social inclusion, promoting a healthy lifestyle, increasing self-esteem and self-knowledge to achieve an independent life and thereby improve the decision-making of their own lives.

The activities are organised within seven workshops developed as a result of the exchange of the knowledge and experience of the five participating organisations and their research on different audiences (people that might feel excluded from society for various reasons).
